The SRI system integrates rigidStab-Resistant inserts with your ballistic vest to provide Stand-Alone Spike 1 protection - so you have a much better chance of surviving a knife confrontation with little or no injury. (And without having to buy an expensive Stab-Resistant vest.)  The bonus is superb blunt trauma protection from clubs, fists, tire irons, etc., etc.

Or you can wear as a Stand-Alone unit with for NON-ballistic knife protection...

• Rigid and moulded in 3 dimensions to hug the body contours.
  
  
• just under 3 mm thick (less than 1/8th of an inch)
  
  
• easily retro-fitted with the included Velcro on the inside of your vest, between the outside of the ballistic panels and the inside of the fabric shell. Retrofit involves sewing some Velcro on your outershell carrier.
